Knots and Ropes
Working with rope and learning to build things has been a core Scout Skill since the start of the movement. We will demonstrate how to tie knots and lashings and their uses. The Webelos will learn to whip and fuse rope and to tie the Square Knot, Two-Half Hitches, and Taut-line Hitch. *The Square Knot is needed to complete the Arrow of Light requirement 2, the Two-Half Hitches, Taut-line Hitch, whipping and fusing are requirements 10 and 11 of the Outdoorsman Activity Pin.
